A huge fuel range doesn’t help, as when I  have a job to do I tend to keep going until I’m worn out or the fuel runs out. Rarely did I get over a true 60mph which was not uncommon on the other 250s. Life is so simple when you’re young. This high spec system is part of the reason the WR250R commands a $8,299 RRP + ORC price, which is a significant step up on what you’ll find on many 250cc LAMS machines, and is no doubt what makes this bike stand out to such an extent, both on and off the road, alongside that powerplant. The GPS was hard-wired in and I never needed the additional power plugs. Overall height: 1230mm was too much weight for the WR on the road, so it does not make it the do-it-aller I hoped it might be. Jumping on board you will notice the bike settles into the suspension, but there was never a situation where I felt it was floating on that long travel suspension, or that is is overly soft.
